THE CHALLENGE
Mandeville Chicks lost three of its six chicken-rearing sheds during the earthquakes. Rebuilding meant meeting new standards, planning for the future and staying within budget.
The previous sheds took around four hours to warm up during the cooler months. The new gas installation needed to make that process faster and more efficient, while remaining straightforward to maintain.
THE SOLUTION
A preheat system brought the shed warm-up time down to around an hour, saving significant time and money.
New pipework was installed, while some original system components were incorporated into the rebuild. The project also included machinery endorsement, helping the client complete the installation without bringing in another specialist.
Ease of maintenance informed the design from the start, so potential issues could be dealt with quickly, safely and cost-effectively.
